OSWCU is committed to helping advance its member's career. This is how we will help:

  1. Meetings! Part of being a member is the chance to network with your peers. Find out what skills are in demand and who is looking for those skills. Let people know who you are and what your talents are.
  2. Provide a place where prospective employers can post job listings (see our policy for posting below).
  3. Provide a central location of Internet links for technically oriented web sites and places to find training.
  4. Provide advice for job seekers (see the meeting minutes for 10-16-02).
  5. We sincerely hope that the meetings and programs we provide will contribute to your knowledge and
    skill, as well.

Job Posting Policy

We welcome advertising for open job offerings. However, in order for information on the OSWCU web site to be consistent and to remain current we have instituted the following Job Posting Policy. Job postings must contain the following:

  1. Position or positions desired
  2. Brief description of job requirements and duties
  3. Contact information
  4. Expiration Date - To minimize stale job offerings, OSWCU would like to be contacted if the position has been filled or if the job offering has been withdrawn so that we can remove it. In lieu of being contacted, the expiration date is needed so our Employment Page remains relevant and to help aid web site maintenance. We will not accept nor post any job offerings without expiration date.
Please submit the job offerings to any Board member either by email or phone.

"The Usual Disclaimers"
-OSWCU reserves the right to not accept any job offering that it feels would not be appropriate for the web site.
-OSWCU is not responsible for any inaccuracies with the job offerings. Please contact us, though, if any errors are discovered, so we may correct them.
-OSWCU will not be responsible for forwarding resumes, fielding questions, etc. for the job poster.
